East Williams Memorial Schoolage Program

In September 2023, we welcomed the East Williams Memorial Schoolage Program to our Whitehills Family. This program is located in Ailsa Craig, in the rural setting of the East Williams Memorial Public School, an elementary school of the Thames Valley District School Board. This location provides before and after school programs for children 3.8 – 12 years.

Our indoor and outdoor environments invite school age children to safely learn through play and exploration, build on their strengths and develop and nurture friendships. Our educators supply a wealth of real, natural and play materials that engage their creativity and support their interests. Educators provide lots of opportunities for healthy physical activity before and after a busy school day and healthy snacks are served.

We provide inclusive environments that welcome families and invite them to participate as they feel comfortable. Ongoing communication between educators and families supports the well-being of the children and gives families a sense of belonging. Communication takes many forms in order to support the diverse needs of families. Storypark, a web-based interactive communication tool, gives educators and families the opportunity to share in the children’s learning & daily experiences and the Storypark app is used to provide timely information to families such as inclement weather closures.
